- 1 lb extra-lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Fresh
Heat Instant Pot on saute mode. Add ground beef, breaking up and browning for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Turn off saute mode and pour in beef broth.
Place lid on Instant Pot and make sure valve is set to seal. Press the pressure cook button and set to high, then cook for 2 minutes. Instant Pot will take about 5-10 minutes to come to pressure then pressure cook for 2 minutes.
Do a quick release of the pressure on the Instant Pot by flicking the switch at the top with a spoon. Open the lid when pressure gauge has dropped and the lid opens easily. Serve ground beef with a slotted spoon, draining liquid. Enjoy!
Frozen
Add ground beef and beef broth. Place lid on Instant Pot and make sure valve is set to seal. Press the pressure cook button and set to high, then cook for 12 minutes. Instant Pot will take about 5-10 minutes to come to pressure then pressure cook for 12 minutes.
Let the pressure naturally release, then open lid once the pressure gauge has dropped. Turn Instant Pot to saute mode. Break up beef with a spoon, then season with salt & pepper to taste. Saute for 3-4 minutes until beef is browned. Serve ground beef with a slotted spoon, draining liquid. Enjoy!

If you're using frozen ground beef, cook on high pressure for 12 minutes then do a natural pressure release.
