Instant Pot Applesauce
This Instant Pot Applesauce is the perfect way to use up apples if you bought too many - plus it'll make your home smell amazing!
Servings: 8 servings
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup water
- 6 apples, cored, peeled and diced any type will work, though I prefer a sweeter variety such as golden delicious or honeycrisp
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot in the order in which they are listed.
Place lid on Instant Pot and make sure valve is set to seal. Press the pressure cook button and set to high, then cook for 5 minutes. Instant Pot will take about 5-10 minutes to come to pressure then pressure cook for 5 minutes.
Let the Instant Pot do a natural pressure release. Open the lid when pressure gauge has dropped and the lid opens easily. Mash apples roughly with a potato masher, then you are ready to serve and enjoy!
