As the Instant Pot heats up and gets up to high pressure, it fully cooks the cabbage, so it doesn’t need to be pressure cooked on high. Make sure to deselect the “keep warm” option and shut off the Instant Pot immediately once it has come to pressure so your cabbage doesn’t get soggy.

Storing and reheating
Store the cooked cabbage in the fridge for 2 to 3 days in an airtight container. I’d suggest keeping the bacon separately and adding it on fresh so it doesn’t get soggy. When you’re ready to enjoy, reheat the cabbage in the microwave until warmed through or sauté it in a pan on the stovetop. Toss it with the bacon and serve.
Can you freeze cabbage?
Yes, cooked cabbage can be frozen for up to 3 months! Let the cabbage cool completely then store it in an airtight container or Ziploc bag. You can store it with the bacon or just add the bacon on fresh right before serving. Let the cabbage defrost in the fridge overnight and then reheat as normal.
